Steel rope: The steel wire ropes are very good and developed that a wheel can be easily secured on top of the shoes which have nails required to attach it. The steel rope must be clean and dry to prevent rust. Rust weakens the rope making it prone to breaking. Rust will only be a big issue if we let it multiply. Adding some oil in parts of the rope can be useful to reduce friction and make it last longer. Its just like when we need to lubricate the wheels of a bike so it does not rust and starts creaking, besides having everything worked as close as possible.
